Education

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related discipline, or a PGCE with a music or primary specialisation. A strong musical background and practical performance ability is essential.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or internationally recognised equivalent
  • Degree in Music, Music Education, or related subject

Experience

At least one year of teaching experience in the UAE is strongly preferred. Candidates should have experience delivering music education to young learners within a British curriculum environment, including vocal work and instrument exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate music lessons for pre-prep pupils
  • Introduce pupils to musical concepts, instruments, rhythm, and vocal performance
  • Organise and lead performances, concerts, and musical showcases
  • Assess pupil progress and adapt lessons to suit varying ability levels
  • Collaborate with class teachers to integrate music across the wider curriculum
  • Inspire a lifelong love of music in young learners

  • Proficiency in at least one instrument and strong vocal ability
  • Creative and imaginative approach to music teaching
  • Enthusiastic and engaging presence in the classroom
  • Ability to work with young children and maintain positive behaviour
