Education

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language, English Literature, or a related Humanities discipline. A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification with a secondary English specialisation is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or internationally recognised equivalent
  • Degree in English Language, English Literature, or related subject

Experience

At least one year of secondary teaching experience in the UAE is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a strong track record of delivering English Language and Literature at GCSE and A-Level within a British curriculum school.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver inspiring English Language and Literature lessons at secondary level
  • Develop pupils’ reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
  • Prepare pupils for GCSE and A-Level examinations with structured support
  • Provide detailed written and verbal feedback to drive pupil improvement
  • Promote a culture of reading and creative expression across the school
  • Collaborate with the English faculty on curriculum development and moderation
